DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Maulshri’s journey of image making started when she was gifted a 16mm camera and a makeshift darkroom on her 16th birthday. Her first assistants and her models were her dog Ustad and the house help Bhima.
In something that just started as a hobby she eventually found her true calling. After completing her masters in photography from the university of Lucknow, Maulshri specialised in Motion Picture Photography from the Film and Television Institute Of India, Pune in 2008. She was amongst the select few students at FTII who were awarded a scholarship by the One World Broadcasting Trust, UK. Her diploma film Antahpravah earned her the distinction of being shortlisted as 'The Arriflex most promising indian cinematography student' Since Graduating from FTII she has done a range of work in fiction, promos, commercials and corporate films. Her first feature film 'The Headhunter' won best feature film in Wancho in the 63rd National Film Awards and got officially selected in many national and international festivals.
